Our group fitness schedule includes more than 100 complimentary classes a week designed to improve cardiovascular conditioning, strength, flexibility and mind/body awareness.  Many of the class choices are appropriate for beginner, intermediate or advanced exercisers. 

Classes are available seven days a week, with morning, daytime and evening options.  The Sports Club is the first club in the region to bring you a DVD library.  Come do a group exercise class around your schedule or visit our DVD library for your favorite videos.

This Week's Group Fitness News

4th of July Class Schedule: Next Tuesday, 7/4, will have a limited number of group fitness classes scheduled:

  • 9am: Club Spin with Erik
  • 9am: Barre Sculpt with Allana
  • 9:15am: Club Circuit with Adi
  • 10am: Splash with Sherry
  • 10:30am: Body Pump with Lindsay

All other group classes are cancelled for the holiday.

General Schedule Updates:

  • Spin on Wednesdays at 12:15pm will be taught by Kelly B.
  • Yoga II on Mondays at 7:15pm will be taught by Trisha
  • Yoga II on Saturdays at 8am and 9:05am will be taught by Stacy
  • Girls Fit on Fridays has been cancelled due to low attendance.

Easy Spin Classes: By popular request, we’re offering an easy, smooth ride on the bikes for participants that want a less-competitive spin class. It’s perfect for beginners and older adults who need less intensity in their spin workout. Keep an eye on the schedule at the Club, come early if you’ve never ridden before, and bring a towel and a water bottle.

B.U.F.F. Class: Kelly Bettinger brings high-energy training to the Club with B.U.F.F., or Boys Ultimate Fitness Fun. It’s a fitness class for boys aged 9 and up who want to get stronger, focusing on all-around fitness, athletic endurance, speed, and agility. The first six-week session is free to members, and classes take place on Thursdays at 5:30pm, beginning on 7/6. Email Lynda Wilisch for more information.

PiYo: This challenging Pilates-inspired yoga fitness class continues on Thursdays at 5:30pm through July. It helps define long, lean muscles with fast-paced style yoga movements to build strength, balance and mobility.

Learn to Teach Yoga: The start date for yoga teacher training has been pushed to June! Classes take place one weekend a month for six months, on June 16-18; July 14-16; August 18-21; September 15-17; October 13-15; and October 27-29. Classes are taught by E-YRT200-certified Stacy Shirley, and Trisha Durham, who is completing her 500-hour RYT. Classes run on Fridays from 6pm-9pm, Saturdays from 9am-6pm, and Sundays from 9am-5:30pm. Email Lynda Wilisch before 6/12 to register.

Tai Chi Classes: You asked, we delivered… we’re adding Tuesday evening Tai Chi classes to the group fitness schedule! Classes are on Tuesdays at 7:15pm. Tai Chi teaches therapeutic breathing exercises through slow-motion martial arts and relaxation drills. It’s perfect to help you relieve muscle tension, release stress, rejuvenate the body, and invigorate your mind and spirit. If you’re interested in Class will be held in Studio A, and is free to members. No registration required.

Create a Custom Workout: Meet one of our trained fitness professionals to discuss your goals, create a program that fits your personal needs and get the most from your workouts. Each program focuses on finding the right exercises and the proper techniques to maximize their effectiveness. 

Fitness Any Time: All three studios in the new group exercise room suite are designed with a DVD viewing station. You have a new choice for a variety of fitness classes at your convenience. Check out a Fitness DVD of your choice from a long list at Member Services and insert it into our new DVD viewing station. Please read instructions on the wall by the DVD player to learn how to use the system. Choose from Mat Workout, PowerStrike, TaeBo, Hip Hop Body Blast, Spinning in Ireland, the P90X series and more.
